30 years ago a revolution began when Steve Jobs made computers friendly. Now MetaMoJi introduces a new wave of digital innovation by turning our digital mobile devices into “smart paper and pens” with revolutionary products like 7Notes, Note Anytime and the Su Pen.

Mobile devices are now an indispensable part of our lives, but mobile apps need to become as handy (and as versatile) as standard pen and paper. Our smartphones and tablets need to have apps that are just as smart. MetaMoJi founders, Kazunori and Hatsuko Ukigawa, had a vision to transform computer interaction into a much more natural experience, just like jotting down a note or sketching a drawing on pen and paper.
MetaMoJi engineers are experts at handwriting input.  Each stroke of note taking or sketching is recorded in high resolution vector graphic imaging.  This means that every part of a letter, sentence or drawing is actually a piece of art.

7Notes created a revolution with advanced handwriting recognition and sophisticated letter styling on iPad and iPhone.  MetaMoJi then responded to user requests for a note taking application that would combine the handwriting recognition ability with other advanced features like PDF annotation ability, advanced calligraphy and interactive web browsing.  This is where Note Anytime was born.

The elegance of the simple interface and revolutionary “floating” palette of tools within Note Anytime invites users of all ages and interests to use the tool on any mobile device. Note Anytime supports not only iOS and Android smart phones and tablets, it also supports Windows 8 in both Metro and RT modes. What this means to a user is that they can jot down a note or a sketch on their smartphone, enhance it on their tablet and then automatically sync it to the cloud based storage within the app (a generous 2GB for free) to be picked up later on their desktop machine. The results can also be shared across email or via social media in universal formats like PDF and JPEG.
