Using the gesture function
Set up some functions, such as delete and confirm, to be controlled by gestures when inputting handwriting. This is useful for intuitive operation.
- Tap to open the mazec setting app.
- Tap Settings.
- Turn on the gesture function you wish to use.
- Delete
- Move your finger over the text you wish to erase, just as you would erase text with an eraser. If the gesture is judged as a deletion gesture, the text will change to a light color and will be deleted when the finger is released.
- If you move your finger above the mazec outside area during the delete gesture, the light-colored display is removed and the delete gesture is canceled.
- If canceled, you can release your finger from the screen for normal handwriting input.
- Delete by Drawing Line from Right to Left
- Swipe the character you want to delete from right to left. If it is judged as a deletion gesture, the character will change to a light-colored display and will be deleted when you release your finger.
- If the next action is performed during the delete gesture, the light-colored display is removed and the delete gesture is canceled.
- When the finger is moved back in the direction of the starting point
- When a finger is outside the handwriting area
- If canceled, you can release your finger from the screen for normal handwriting input.
- Confirm by Drawing Line from Bottom to Top
- Swipe upward from the bottom to confirm the first candidate for conversion. If it is determined as a confirming gesture, the stroke turns green and is confirmed when the finger is released or goes outside the handwriting area.
- If you move your finger back in the direction of the starting point during the confirm gesture, the confirm gesture is canceled. If the gesture is canceled, releasing the finger will result in a normal stroke.。
- Confirm by Drawing Line from Top to Bottom
- Swipe down from the top to confirm the first candidate for conversion. If it is determined as a confirming gesture, the stroke turns green and is confirmed when the finger is released or goes outside the handwriting area.
※If you are using an iPhone, the "Confirm by Drawing Line from Top to Bottom" gesture function may not work on some models in landscape mode.
- To avoid accidental determination of a gesture as a definite gesture when writing the number "1," for example, a definite gesture is determined only when writing from approximately one-third of the height of the handwritten area.
- If you move your finger back in the direction of the starting point during the confirm gesture, the confirm gesture is canceled. If the gesture is canceled, releasing the finger will result in a normal stroke.
